Got some different dip pen stuff and tested out the drawing capabilities of the two I liked most on the boy
I’m gonna risk it
HER HEELS ARE COBRAS
I’m torn btwn leaving her in her box for display & space reasons, but also I wanna take her out and brush her hair bc she’s really pretty (and the risk damaging the box when I try to put her back in for display)
The packaging is lovely and her hair and dress are so soft
Good tactile experience

Summary: Eliot begins his first day as Ego’s bodyguard.
——————————————————————————————
Eliot, despite his anger at the situation, arrived at the Beverly Hills Media building the next day. It was a tall skyscraper of glass and metal, bright and shiny as the rest of the buildings in the city but somehow it came across as pompous rather than inviting. Maybe it was the flashy design, or maybe it was just knowing that it’s where all of Ego’s entertainment empire operated from.
With a scowl, he stepped out of the elevators into the shiny 36th floor, made up of as much glass as the outside looked to be and pristine white tile everywhere. Behind the frosted glass walls of De Rigueur, he could see shapes and shadows rushing around, but it happened all in a silent flurry until he opened the door.
In person, he had never seen any other place that so wholly encompassed the idea of a ‘modern’ office even with the industrial notes worked in. Neutral tones everywhere on sleek furniture that sparkled of spotlessness where the metal wasn’t left to look untouched, open floors and desks with designers occupied on computers at each one, more glass and metal in the structures surrounding the office floor, all leading up to one singular glass walled office in a lofted space above it overlooking the space. And out of that office, of course, came Ego, dressed in a sapphire blue vinyl dress and her own rage. She stomped onto the balcony outside her office and pointed to Eliot.
“Lover boy—up here, now,” she snapped. Eliot frowned and headed towards the stairs up to her, weaving his way through the desks and designers. “I said ‘first thing in the morning’ and you’re here two hours late.”
“My shift didn’t start until now,” Eliot replied when he reached her.
“You’re not on your shift, you’re on mine,” she said with a heel turn back into her office. Eliot rolled his eyes and followed after, the glass door swinging shut behind him and cutting out the noise of the rest of the workers. Ego’s stilettos were surprisingly quiet on the white tiles of her office floor, as was the giant brown bear sitting on the gray couch against the wall. Eliot stared at him as Ego took her seat at her glass desk in front of the shut white curtains of the floor to ceiling windows that would have looked out over the huge park across the street. She eyed Eliot as she hooked her tablet back to its keyboard.
“Sass isn’t going to give you a problem unless you make yourself a problem,” she said.
Sass growled low at Eliot.
“And sit down already, I have chairs in this office for a reason,” Ego commanded. Eliot followed the orders and took a seat in the metal and white leather chair across from her desk, not finding an exact way to sit comfortably in it as he did. He glanced around the office, as modern as the rest but with a little more personality and coziness that did not match Ego’s attitude or the literal bear on the couch.
